Snowed In

There was a driving ban in Boston (and probably most of New England) until 4pm Saturday afternoon. After arguing over why I had bought generic cinnamon crunchers instead of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (um, b/c General Mills is getting away w/ highway robbery), B and I decided that we needed to get out of our cabin fever funk and brave the outside.

The front entrance was nice and shoveled for us.

We played in the street, throwing a football around and sliding on the icy road, feeling like the cool kids for not having to stick to the sidewalks. Until a bunch of cars came by, operated by drivers who were apparently itching to spend three months in jail and pay a $500 ticket (driving ban, my ass).

I suggested we make snow angels and toppled over in the empty parking lot across the street. I guess I was the only one who thought that sounded like fun.

Afterward we warmed up inside w/ the tried-and-true solution from childhood. Hot chocolate wine.

Binx was pretty excited about it.

That's a mighty fancy cheese knife you've got there. Binx was sad he couldn't make a snow angel.
